Meta Quest Wish for the Extraordinary

Themed window displays doubled as interactive demo pods, inviting guests to try out the most popular Quest 2 games.
We teamed up with Meta Reality Labs to create a holiday pop-up like no other. In NoHo, NYC, each windowpane of the #WishForTheExtraordinary store was a lens into a different immersive universe; visitors become part of the display when they slashed cubes in Beat Saber, lived out their QB fantasies in NFL PRO ERA, took on an opponent in a match of Eleven Table Tennis, and joined astronauts aboard the International Space Station in Space Explorers. Outside, passersby gathered; inside, guests tested products, made holiday purchases, visited the gift-wrapping station, and snagged a fun giveaway.
Stats: 10-day activation, 2000+ visitors, 1800+ demo sessions

McCann NY + SAS - The Batting Lab

With SAS, the McCann NY creative team developed a customized AI-powered batting cage that tracks a batter's stance and ball-flight data, accumulating over 50,000 data points per swing. An online Data Playbook complements this setup, converting player data into real-time coaching insights.Over six weeks, a group of 9-13-year-old children were welcomed to The Batting Lab, aiming to enhance their batting skills. Throughout this experience, they not only did they refined their swings but also gained confidence in utilizing data and analytics. The Batting Lab analyzed each child's swings by comparing them to an optimal form derived from data collected from elite players, including those from North Carolina State University's baseball and softball teams. Inside the cage, swing analysis unfolded in real-time through the use of cameras, sensors, AI, machine learning, computer vision, and IoT analytics. The Batting Lab provided instant feedback and valuable suggestions to improve each child's swing. At the conclusion of each session, the kids had the opportunity to delve into the numerical insights.

Google Cloud x Golden State Warriors @ The Chase Center

In collaboration with Google Cloud and the Golden State Warriors' new Chase Arena unveiling, our team built a series of interactive portals to tell several Google Cloud partner stories with NCAA, NASA, and the New York Times. Guests in the Google Cloud suite could slide a small touchscreen along the path of 8 portal displays to activate the light within the windows and trigger an interactive feature about the partnerships. Featured in the builds were custom animations, a full custom branded CMS system, creative tech development & engineering, and 3D spatial design of the permanent installation.

Flyers Hat Trick @ The Wells Fargo Center

With an update to the display of the time-honored Philadelphia Flyers hat trick tradition, our team partnered with the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center to create an interactive version to the previous build. The previous display encased hundreds of caps that were tossed on to the rink in celebration after a player would score a hat trick (three goals in one game). With this update, we custom built a system that would allow game attendees to scan their game day tickets for a chance to win one of three caps on display. The CMS system was built along with the Wells Fargo Center data architecture team to be accessible any time remotely from their network. In the event of a win, a short gif is created of their reaction and sent to the stadium room for display on the jumbotron during the game.

Google Cloud Customer Story Interactives @ NRF

Partnering with Google's retail industry team, we teamed up to enhance their presence at the National Retail Federation's 2020 showcase in New York City. Together we created a series of four interactive demonstrations, each skillfully narrating the success stories of partnership with their partners: Ulta Beauty, Discount Tire, Kohl's, and Carrefour.

With Carrefour, we fashioned a compelling linear narrative that delved into the realm of dynamic stocking recommendations and the intricate technology that powers them. Imagination met reality as users wielded barcode scanners and interacted with charming custom 3D designed and fabricated products to propel the storyline forward.

Ulta Beauty sought to spotlight their Virtual Beauty Advisor and their sophisticated product customization system designed to cater to the unique preferences of each user. To achieve this, we introduced an engaging quiz and a visually captivating installation featuring softly illuminated acrylic bottles. Through these means, users skillfully narrowed down their preferences, ultimately receiving tailored product recommendations based on their unique inputs.

Discount Tire introduced a physical car slider that seamlessly guided users through various screens. This journey was developed by a customized Google Assistant app, leveraging Dialogflow, the Maps and Places APIs, and an AppEngine instance. These elements worked in harmony to listen for conversational cues and emit websocket events to dynamically alter front-end content in real-time.

Facebook Global Gaming Summit

We developed a highly engaging application in Angular for the Facebook Gaming team's internal all-hands event. This exciting project involved integrating with Facebook's internal Okta for user authentication and utilizing a 2D front-end canvas tool called PlayCanvas. To ensure seamless performance, we encapsulated the app within Angular, served it through our custom Node container, and deployed it to a global autoscaling group on Google Cloud. This setup was meticulously optimized to handle the demands of a round-the-clock global event with compute-intensive designs. The end result is a visually stunning 3D environment that allows event guests to immerse themselves in video content, discover hidden surprises, and participate in entertaining pop culture quizzes.
