Partnering with Google's retail industry team, we teamed up to enhance their presence at the National Retail Federation's 2020 showcase in New York City. Together we created a series of four interactive demonstrations, each skillfully narrating the success stories of partnership with their partners: Ulta Beauty, Discount Tire, Kohl's, and Carrefour.
With Carrefour, we fashioned a compelling linear narrative that delved into the realm of dynamic stocking recommendations and the intricate technology that powers them. Imagination met reality as users wielded barcode scanners and interacted with charming custom 3D designed and fabricated products to propel the storyline forward.
Ulta Beauty sought to spotlight their Virtual Beauty Advisor and their sophisticated product customization system designed to cater to the unique preferences of each user. To achieve this, we introduced an engaging quiz and a visually captivating installation featuring softly illuminated acrylic bottles. Through these means, users skillfully narrowed down their preferences, ultimately receiving tailored product recommendations based on their unique inputs.
Discount Tire introduced a physical car slider that seamlessly guided users through various screens. This journey was developed by a customized Google Assistant app, leveraging Dialogflow, the Maps and Places APIs, and an AppEngine instance. These elements worked in harmony to listen for conversational cues and emit websocket events to dynamically alter front-end content in real-time.
